As soon as I walked through the door, I smelled food cooked and that had my stomach growling. After I left my parents’ house, I came straight home. Although I had wanted to stop to talk to Matt, I decided against it. I needed to make shit right with my girl. On the drive back home, she was on my mind heavy. The thought of losing her ass had me feeling some type of way. Pain pierced my heart to the point, I gasped for air. If losing her felt like that, that was a feeling I didn’t want to feel, ever.

I didn’t see Riley in the living room or the kitchen, causing me to frown. Making my way through the apartment, I headed to our bedroom and saw Riley laying across the bed with a wineglass in her hand with her kindle open. I smiled, leaning against the doorframe. She only had on a red bra and panties set with her round plump ass poking out. Damn, I had to fight for control not to march toward her and bury my face between her ass cheeks. If her ass was dressed like this, there was no telling what was running through her head. I didn’t know what the hell her ass was trying to do, but she knew red was my favorite color. I felt my dick getting hard, but I had to control myself.

She peered over her shoulder at me and rolled her eyes. I chuckled, knowing I probably deserved that.

“You look nice,” I stated to her.

“Mmhm,” was all she said.

“I guess yo’ ass is still mad at me.”

“You damn right I am, but knowin’ you, you probably don’t give a fuck how I feel.”

I licked my lips. “That’s a lie. I do care about how you feel and yo’ feelings. You know how I was when you met me, too. I told yo’ ass as long as you wit’ me you don’t have to worry ’bout a damn thing ’cause I got you. I’ll always have yo’ back and give you anything you want. You know that shit.”

She got up from the bed, sitting her wineglass on the nightstand, and her face tightened instantly. “Yo’ ass is selfish. I know you told me I don’t have to work, but I’ve gotten bored over time, Will. It’s more out of life I want, Will.”

I nodded. “And you can. I’m not stopping’ you from doin’ that. You just won’t be wit’ me doin’ that shit. I’m sorry, but that’s just the way shit goin’ to go.”

“Wow. You’re willin’ to leave me because I want to work. What type of shit is that? You know what, I’m done arguin’ ’bout it. If leavin’ me is so easy for you to do—”

“Nah, that’s a lie. It won’t be easy to leave you. I’m just tellin’ you how things goin’ to be.”

She ignored me getting back on the bed. I still wanted to take her ass somewhere and hope that she was in the mood for it.
